Highlights: First of all, I would like to wish everyone associated with Class 5 a happy New year and thank everyone for the lovely gifts I received over Christmas. We have had a great week back and have kick-started the New year talking and writing about our dreams and goals in Literacy. In science, we had great fun finishing our light unit off by conducting lots of experiments that explored light phenomena – the children really loved this. Finally we all got stuck back into maths and have been adding and subtracting fractions where I have been really impressed with how much they have remembered.
What’s happening next week: Next week is a normal week in Class 5 where we will be starting all of our new topics for the Spring term.

Class Focus: Writing. We are having a HUGE push in Class 5 and across the school with our Writing skills. This week, we have made a great start and I look forward to the coming weeks to see further improvements.
Homework: Homework will begin next week (twice a week focusing on SATs revision when we start our new topics in maths and English).
