Highlights: It has been an industrious week in Class 5 this week with the children working hard in all areas of the curriculum. In English, we have started our new unit of diary writing using the video Francis as a stimulus.  In History, we wrote a letter home acting as one of the soldiers in WW2 from the point of view as to whether we were for the war or whether we were against it.  Finally, in PE, we have had great fun working as a team completing various activities linked to orienteering.

What’s happening next week:  Next week is a normal week in Class 5, however, just a reminder, it is World Book Day on Thursday. All details are on the newsletter.

Spellings: The spellings next week are listed below. They are based on words that contain the suffix ent, ence and ency.

Class Focus:  Writing and GPS. We are having a big push on our GPS skills and our writing stamina.

Homework: Children have a Maths sheet and a GPS sheet for Tuesday. Please help your child with these but do not do it for them.

This week in Class 5!
