Class 5 you keep amazing me with your work and attitude to remote learning- it is clear to see we are putting our bests effort in to keep moving our learning forward. Well done. Also, may I just say, great work on the Maths this week, I know it has been tricky but we are showing fabulous resilience to the tasks being set. Just a polite reminder to make sure you read when to post your work so you don’t have to mark and then re-post.
Today’s learning is as follows
English: In this lesson, we will introduce new vocabulary, identify word pairs and synonyms and apply the vocabulary in sentences. Please complete all tasks as usual before uploading to seesaw.
GPS: Please watch the short video and complete the spelling tasks that are asked.
Maths: Now today we are going to look at how we use our division methods to help us solve problems. Please watch the video link below and answer the questions either by downloading it off here or by using seesaw. Remember to wait for the answers in the afternoon before uploading so you can self mark your work.
Worksheet:
Topic: Now I thought for our topic work this afternoon we would continue our work on the Anglo Saxons. First of all you will need to go onto seesaw and read the topic presentation – this will help you with the two tasks today.
Task 1: Using the blank map of the UK below (also available on seesaw) draw, label and colour the seven kingdoms that Anglo Saxon Britain was divided into.
Task 2: Using what you have learnt by reading the slides and some of your own research I would like you to imagine you are Vortigern, Hengest or Horsa. Decide what they might have looked like and how they felt about the about the events of that time. Draw your character and write in continuous sentences about how they felt about what was happening to them. The template is also available on Seesaw.
PE: After the enjoyment in school with last weeks Dancestars, I thought it would be a good opportunity to have another session!! Lets get moving! Feel free to upload any videos to seesaw.
Have a good day – Mr B
