Good Morning Class 5 – hope you had a good day yesterday getting back into the swing of things. It was fantastic to see all the work you put in yesterday – well done Team Class 5! Let’s have a look at what we have in store today.

English – Yesterday we wrote some fantastic riddles so today I thought we could solve each others. Have a look below at some riddles? Can you work out the presents being described?

GPS – I would like you to complete these sheets over the next couple of days.

Maths – Data handling. Now this will require you to text/communicate with class friends, close friends or possibly family members. If you are at school you can use the people in your bubble – if you are at home you can text/ring people listed above.

Task: What I would like you to do is create a tally chart and then a line graph or bar chart of the different types of presents that you and your friends and family received at Christmas. It will be up to you how you decide to group different types of presents. Some ideas I thought of could be: electronics, board games, jigsaw and puzzles, action figures and dolls, food, chocolates, clothes, sports items, trips away etc. You might have other ideas but these headings may give you a start so you can create your tallies.

Extension: can you research how to create and display your results in a pie chart? Khan Academy and BBC Bitesize give good tutorials on how to create pie charts from data if you type these into google with the phrase – how to create a pie chart.

PE – See below for Claire’s Dancestars video. Let’s get moving into 2021!
