It has been a busy week in Class 5 this week. In Maths we have been focusing hard on adding and subtracting fractions and mixed numbers while also trying to solve multi-step problems (our homework this week focuses on this further). In English we have been looking at the video clip “The Piano” and have been focusing on flashbacks and how we construct these.
In our topic work, we have been drawing routes round the village and then using OS Maps to calculate how far our route is. The children have been working extremely hard on this and have done a super job. In Science we made a periscope to show how light reflects, writing concise explanations on how this works. Finally in ICT we created our own Class Blog and started to add Christmas Traditions that happen in our family home. It’s been a busy but enjoyable week.
